I learned in my school that man is a socail animal. Now I actually realize why. Man needs to cooperate with the society to live. But it not actually cooperate in its literal meaning. It is compromise. Yes every social being compromise his feelings, happiness, fear, anger with the society. A person cannot express the feeling openly because there is always a society as a barrier. A student cannot study the subject of his choice. Why? Because his parents wants him to be a doctor or an engineer so that they can show off in the society. A lower or middle class family shows off taking loans during festivals and partys just for the sake of the society. A boy falls in love with a girl. Fine. But what if the boy and the girl are of different cast? They cant help it because they are already in love. Love doesnt see cast, creed or color. It just sees the heart of the other person. In most of the cases, the lovers have to sacrifice their true love just for the society. You can see how society comes into play in a persons life. Why society?
My frustration specially concentrates on the cast, creed and color that prevails specially the Hindu society. Who created the cast? Who gave them the right to discriminate people? Nowdays bullfights, cock fights have disappeared from our society because of the organizations like Cruelty to animals. But what in the case of humans. Are humans below the level of animals? Where is the human rights in this case? Doesn’t low casts have any rights? This cast thing not only dominates under developed and developing countries but also highly developed countries.
Nepal is at the transformation phase right now. New constitution will be written. The members of the constitution are from different cast, creed and color. Lets see if they can cut the pipe. Lets hope that one day everybody be proud as a human being. No person will be discriminated in any way. All will have equal rights. A boy can marry the girl of his choice without the fear of society. Just hoping that day will be there in near future.
